16GB is 100% enough for most day to day uses. It should be definitely OK with medium level video editing and non memory intensive heavy work. Honestly unless you do like 4k video editing, data science work on large datasets, engineering sims and such, you'd be golden for like the next 10 years with 16 gigs of ram. 1.
