If you get the correct standby power at the power board, check that it gets OK to the mainboard as it may be a faulty cable between the two. It is the mainboard that turns on the red standby power light.
Check the standby light. In power standby mode, the power standby lamp at the bottom of the TV lights up. If the power standby lamp is OFF, check the power cord. NOTE. Out of the box, the red standby light is ON when the TV is OFF. When the TV is operating normally, this can be turned off in the TV’s settings menu. Expand All.
To soft reset a TCL TV: Unplug your TCL TV and hold down the physical power button beneath the IR receiver on the TV for at least 15 seconds.
